Fall is in full swing here in Seneca County, and there are so many different activities to choose from! Whether you're looking for something fun to do with the whole family or just looking to get out alone for a date night, there is enough going on that you're sure to enjoy the season before it ends! Here are five fun things happening this month in Seneca County to help you get in on the fall and Halloween fun!

1. Fall Craft & Vendor Market at Finger Lakes Premium Outlets
As fall begins, one of everyone's favorite things to do is attend various artisan markets. This month the Finger Lakes Premium Outlets will be hosting a craft and vendor market at the mall! This event will be on Friday Oct. 25th, Saturday Oct. 26th, and Sunday Oct. 27th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The market will offer festive treats and unique gifts from local vendors.
In addition to the local vendors, the shopping mall will be open and offers various stores like Nike Outlet, Puma, Yankee Candle, Shoe Department, and many more. Get a head start on your Christmas shopping, or spend a day with the family.
2. The Haunted House put on by the Seneca Community Players
Everyone loves a good scare during spooky season! Check out the Haunted House, presented by the Seneca Community Players happening the last two weekends of October! The event schedule is Friday Oct. 18th at 5 p.m., Saturday October 19th at 5 p.m., Sunday October 20th at 2 p.m., Friday October 25th at 5 p.m., and Saturday October 26th at 5 p.m.
The event will take place in the Lafayette Park Auditorium located at 202 West Main Street in Waterloo. General admission is $5 and tours are held every 20 minutes, with the last tour 30 minutes prior to closing. Friday and Saturday tours are available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday tours are available from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
3. Pumpkin picking and fall festivities at The Pumpkin Patch
Spend an entire day at The Pumpkin Stand with the whole family! There's fun for everyone here. They're open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Labor Day until Halloween.
They offer 8 acres of U-Pick Pumpkins, more than 10 varieties of squash, more than 5 varieties of edible ornamentals, corn and gourds, straw bales and corn stalks, mums, fresh cider, and a family friendly corn maze and hayrides.
Special events include their Haunted Hayrides from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday October 19th, and their Spooktacular Fall Festival happening October 26th and 27th! Between the Lakes BBQ will be serving food on Saturday the 26th, and the Silo Food Truck will be serving food on Sunday the 27th.
4. Leaf-Peeping along the Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway
Leaf-Peeping is one of the most beautiful seasonal events to happen in the Finger Lakes Region, and one of the best places to get a good view is along the Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway!
Along the way while admiring the leaves changing, you can also stop at a number of wineries or grab a bite to eat! The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail is along the Byway, Finger Lakes Cider House offers various ciders and a delicious farm-to-table menu, and Montezuma Winery & Hidden Marsh Distillery are both on the byway!
5. Apple Picking at the Finger Lakes Cider House

U-Pick apple picking is a fun activity for the whole family! Stop by the cider house Sunday-Friday between 11 and 5, and Saturday between 11 and 6 to enjoy their U-Pick organic apples.
This product is available from September through October and is $2.25/lb, $17/5lb bag, and $85/bushel. The apples available include Liberty during the early season, Enterprise during the mid-season, and Goldrush during the late season.
Let the staff know you're there once you arrive and feel free to bring your own containers for picking apples! Be sure to have them weigh them first so you don't pay extra.
