The Wine Country Circuit Dog Show at Sampson State Park
The Finger Lakes and Seneca County regions have so many activities to offer depending on the season, but perhaps one of the most unique events is the Wine Country Circuit Dog Show every year.
The Wine Country Circuit Dog Show is one of the biggest dog shows nationally and hosted by three different kennel clubs.
This year, each kennel club had their own days for hosting. The Elmira Kennel Club hosted on Thursday, September 28th, the Kanadasaga Kennel Club hosted on Friday and Saturday, September 29th and 30th, and the Finger Lakes Kennel Club hosted on Sunday October 1st.
This event was free and open to the public, inviting spectators to attend and enjoy both the state park and watching the dog show.
The Cornell University Hospital for Animals was present to provide special exams for dogs that were competing in the show. They were able to receive patella exams, cardiac auscultation exams, and eye exams.
