Family Day

Visitors will enjoy a special family-oriented self-guided tour of the house. Discover how the Swan family lived in the house and farmed the land from 1850 to 1890. Explore the lives of the six Swan children and their experiences growing up among family, servants and laborers on the 19th-century farm and estate. The house will be open and staffed throughout, and there will be games and other hands-on activities to participate in throughout the day. Weather permitting, visitors may climb to the belvedere at the top of the house.

The Carriage House Gift Shop is open whenever the house is open. The shop carries historically-inspired and locally made items, as well as souvenirs, history books, jewelry and home decorative items.
