The Beckers: The Family, Their Home, Their Help, and How SFHS Fits Into Their Story

Sixty-five years ago in May 1961, Florence Becker – after living in her family’s home for 70 years – sold the Becker Mansion to the Seneca Falls Historical Society. This year, SFHS celebrates its 65th anniversary of purchasing and moving into the Becker Mansion. SFHS Executive Director Jonathan Monfiletto has conducted extensive research during this year into the Becker family, their home, their servants, and how SFHS came to reside in the Becker Mansion.
