OVERVIEW

Explore the stories of the community’s people and places, ordinary and extraordinary, at the Geneva History Museum. The museum is housed in the Prouty-Chew House on Geneva’s historic South Main Street. The museum also houses Historic Geneva’s offices, research room, and collections. Exhibits include two furnished period rooms, a children’s discovery room, and the long-term exhibit Geneva’s Changing Landscapes, which focuses on the growth and history of Geneva. Two galleries provide changing exhibits throughout the year. The gift shop features souvenirs and local history books. Historic Geneva, formerly the Geneva Historical Society, owns and operates three properties in the Geneva area: Rose Hill Mansion, Johnston House, and the Geneva History Museum.

  • Location Directions: NYS Thruway Exit 42. Rt 14 south to Geneva. Turn right on Seneca St. Left on Main St. The Museum is on the left across from North Cloverleaf Drive.
