About the Job

As a Visitor Information Specialist for the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce (Discover Seneca), you will help promote Seneca County and its tourism community by assisting visitors and guiding them to travel destinations that suit their interests.

(Some of) What You’ll Do

• Attend the Visitor Information Kiosk at the Petro Center and interact with travelers in a friendly and helpful way to assist them with their travel information needs.
• Assist in tracking visitation trends by collecting data during interactions with travelers and entering them into Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain the brochure racks at the Petro Visitor Information Kiosk and coordinate with the Chamber Office to order inventory.
• Assist the Chamber during their annual events (Annual Dinner, Membership Celebration, Golf Tournament).
• Attend a mobile Visitor Information Kiosk and assist travelers during select tourism events (Sampson Dog Show, Cycle the Erie).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Seneca County and the area's tourism destinations.
• Ability to use a Windows PC and Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Excellent communication/customer service skills.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
