The Painted Porch Cottage is a lakefront cottage on the West Shore of Cayuga Lake at Sheldrake, right in the middle of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. It is a 4 bedroom Greek Revival styled house that was built in 1826. The house has a living room, dining room and a spacious eat-in kitchen with a generous cooking island. It also has 2 bathrooms. One with a shower and one with a bath. Each of the bedrooms has enough room for two adults and one or two children. There is a large amount of space on the lawn leading down to the lake, as well as over 2 1/2 acres of lawn and gardens, great for Frisbee, kickball and other fun summer games. The Painted Porch is close to Ithaca, Seneca Falls, Watkins Glen, Corning and most towns in the Finger Lakes Wine Region.
Getting to the Painted Porch Vacation Rental, which sleeps from 8 to 16 is quite easy. It is about 25 minutes south of Interstate 90, which runs from Buffalo to Albany. It is about 2 minutes East of NYS Route 89, which runs parallel to Cayuga Lake's West Shore, between Ithaca and Seneca Falls. If you want to fly to our vacation rental, there are many options. It will take about 40 minutes from Ithaca's Airport, 45 Minutes from Elmira's airport, one hour and 10 minutes from the Syracuse airport and one hour and 20 minutes from Rochester airport. Private flights may also land at Finger Lakes Regional Airport, which is about 20 minutes away.

Spectacular Cayuga Lake is one of the two largest and deepest Finger Lakes.
