Cayuga Lake comes in second as the largest lake in the Finger Lakes at 435 feet deep, and is the longest at 38 miles. It is known for its clear water, steep sides, and a premier fishing and recreational spot. Like the other lakes, Cayuga Lake connects to the Erie Canal system and connects the Seneca County region to the surrounding Finger Lakes destinations. There are around 90 different species of fish including Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Atlantic Salmon and Small Mouth Bass.
