Spring in Seneca County

Spring is the perfect time to experience Seneca County. Celebrate Women’s History Month in Seneca Falls, the birthplace of Women’s Rights, while the season’s blooms and warmer air awaken the Finger Lakes landscape. Birdwatchers gather at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, one of the Atlantic Flyway’s most active migratory bird corridors. Some of the region's most popular golf courses reopen, while wineries, breweries, and cideries welcome visitors back to their scenic outdoor spaces. Memorial Day also carries special meaning here, as each Spring the Waterloo community honors its nationally recognized legacy (as the Birthplace of Memorial Day) during the annual Celebrate Commemorate Memorial Day weekend event.
