Seneca County Chamber of Commerce names Mozaic as Business of the Month for September 2026
SENECA FALLS, NY – The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its September 2026 Business After Hours event at Beginnings Credit Union’s Kingdom Plaza location in Waterloo, bringing together local business leaders, community members, Chamber members and staff for an evening of networking, connection and community support.
Beginnings Credit Union served as the event’s host and also organized a food drive benefiting Harmony Food Pantry in Waterloo. Guests were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, helping the organization collect several much-needed donations for families throughout Waterloo and Seneca County. Ventosa Winery provided wine pouring for the evening, while Perfect Pair Hospitality provided a delicious selection of refreshments for guests to enjoy.
Business After Hours events provide Chamber members and community partners with an opportunity to step outside of the traditional workday, connect with other local businesses and organizations, and celebrate the people and businesses that help make Seneca County a great place to live, work and visit.
The September event also highlighted the important work of Harmony Food Pantry, located at 42 East Main Street in downtown Waterloo. The pantry works to provide groceries to families throughout Seneca County, distributing bags of food while allowing families to select the items they need most. This approach helps reduce waste while ensuring that families receive food that works for their individual needs.
Harmony Food Pantry continues to welcome donations of non-perishable and ready-to-eat items, including cereal, canned goods, peanut butter and other pantry staples. Monetary donations are also accepted and help the organization continue providing essential resources to local families.
As part of the evening, Beginnings Credit Union presented the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce’s September 2026 Business of the Month award to Mozaic, recognizing the organization for its continued work supporting individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and for its contributions to the local community.
The award was presented by Beginnings Credit Union Vice President of Member Experience Mike D’Angelo to Mozaic CFO Dale Davis.
Mozaic is a chapter of The Arc New York, a not-for-profit organization providing a wide range of services and support to people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families. With more than 600 staff members, Mozaic supports more than 2,500 people across Cayuga, Yates, Tompkins, Ontario, Oswego and Seneca counties.
In addition to its extensive network of programs and services, Mozaic is also home to Finger Lakes Textiles, a Seneca County-based operation known for producing its Arctic Gear line. The products are made entirely in the United States and include military watch caps, fleece caps, balaclavas, jacquard hats, neck gaiters, headbands and other cold-weather accessories.
Finger Lakes Textiles recently received statewide recognition when its Arctic Gear line was named the 2026 “Coolest Thing Made in New York.” The annual competition celebrates innovative and noteworthy products manufactured throughout New York State and shines a spotlight on the people and businesses behind them.
The recognition brought additional attention to the work being done by Mozaic and Finger Lakes Textiles right here in Seneca County, demonstrating the organization’s impact not only through the services it provides, but also through its locally based manufacturing operations.
